This story began with a simple example of what can happen when you swipe right.

Ross moved down to North Carolina in January of 2023 looking for a new place to begin a new chapter in his life.

Melissa is a homegrown, born and raised North Carolinian from a small town called Angier.

One night they both found themselves scrolling on Facebook deciding to look for love. The wonderful world of Facebook dating found these two swiping right on each other. Not soon after they sought out to meet up for an informal Mexican meal in Holly Springs. However little did they know, it would be love at first sight and Ross fell head over heels for this lovely slice of southern charm.

A few months later and Ross asked Melissa to move in together. A trip to Carolina Beach saw their first "I love you," and a few short months after Ross began to plan. In secret he planned the perfect proposal, from the location, to the ring, and how to say the words. It was all perfect. A quick trip to the mountains, the perfect log cabin, and wait until sunset. Easy, or so he thought.

Disaster struck. A hurricane whipped out all of the area around Ashville, NC and Ross had to come up with something quick. Well if West wasn't an option, it was time to look East. Frantic planning took these two lovebirds to Myrtle Beach, SC where Ross proposed to Melissa on the beaches under the moon and stars.

The rest, as they say, is history.
